XJR-S Front Axle Rebuild

This XJR-S came in with a front axle that had seen better days. Decades of use had left the subframe and wishbones heavily corroded, with bushings completely shot and the structural integrity seriously compromised.

The entire front end was stripped down and assessed. Once we could see the full extent of the corrosion, everything was taken back to bare metal through media blasting and treated for rust before being refinished in protective coatings.

The rebuild covered the complete front suspension system. All bushings, ball joints, and mounting hardware were replaced throughout. We fitted upgraded adjustable suspension components with performance dampers, paired with refurbished brake assemblies and overhauled steering components. The exhaust system was also refinished during the process.

Once reassembled, everything was carefully aligned and torqued to specification. The result is a front axle that balances proper restoration with sensible performance improvements, giving the XJR-S better handling while keeping its sporting character intact. What was once corroded and tired is now sorted and ready for plenty more miles.
