Series 1 SWB Daimler Restoration

This Series 1 SWB Daimler came in for a complete restoration from the ground up. What started as a tired example quickly turned into one of our biggest jobs to date, covering everything from engine and electrics to a full body respray.

The car was stripped back completely, with the body taken to bare metal and all corrosion and previous repairs addressed. Every panel was realigned and refinished before being repainted in its original colour, restoring the deep factory finish that these early Daimlers are known for.

Mechanically, the engine was fully rebuilt, with all ancillaries, gaskets, and seals replaced. The electrical system was rewired throughout, including lighting, ignition, and instrumentation. Once reassembled, every component was tested and tuned to ensure the car performed just as it should.

This restoration brought a long-neglected Daimler back to life both cosmetically and mechanically, leaving it in better condition than when it left the factory.
