Bentley Type-R Recommission

This Bentley R-Type had been sat untouched in a barn for around 10 years, and as expected, it needed a fair bit of care to get it running smoothly again. The engine was struggling with a heavy misfire caused by low compression and carburetion issues. We carried out a full inspection, cleaned and adjusted the carburettors, and worked through the compression problem until it was firing properly once more.

Once the mechanical side was sorted, we gave the car a full detail to bring the paintwork and chrome back to life. After years off the road, it’s now running, idling, and shining just as it should, a proper classic Bentley back to its old self.
